Even though I'm at the ripe old age of 19 (20 by the end of the year), I'm currently having somewhat of a midlife crisis. Trying to decide what I want to do, and how I see myself in 5-10 years. Now I know what I like. I like working with my hands and making little things like embroidery pieces, bracelets and what not.
I recently completed my first year of junior college and have been wondering if it is for me. I'm not talking about completely dropping out of school or anything. But what if I were to start attending school out in LA, start networking and be able to start selling all the stuff I make and have been making? Is that possible? Could I actually do it? Maybe I could. Maybe by this September or October, I could be enrolled, living in a tiny apartment, and making barrettes, bracelets, bandanas, etc, until my fingers bleed.
So here's the deal. Alt Craft Arts is getting started. I've already made a twitter feed, working on some other networks, and am getting a website up hopefully in the next week or two. I should have pictures up of everything I've created so far by tomorrow. A ton of barrettes are already made. Embroidered bracelets are being made right now. Bandanas will be ready in a few weeks. I'm still thinking of ideas for necklaces and earrings.
I'm open to ideas, and suggestions. Tell me what you'd want to see, and what kind of accessories you'd be interested in owning. As far as purchases go, obviously since the website isn't ready yet, neither are orders. I'm in the process of getting my business license. So tomorrow, if you see something you like, we can try and work something out.
All right? Good? Let's go!
